Can INDIA be a super power?

I faced this topic in my GD recently. Couldn't speak more words as everyone was wild and couldn't let others talk. So my views i wanted to present them here.

First of all, as mentioned in SWADES movie, India is not great but has the potential to become greatest. We got our Independence almost 64 years back. In those days, when the Constitution was written, i suppose the leaders are good, thinking for the betterment of people and proposed policies for the people's welfare. Now, still it has been followed only thing difference is that the leaders are well aware of the loop holes of the constitution and keep using it at their will. The leaders have the power to make amendments to rules but for the welfare of the society. But they just concentrating on how to regain power but wasting that power in making policies which would destroy the society through the soul and will. For example: They keep on increasing reservations for every caste. What good does it do? I agree that a lot of people are unable to live even a lower class life. Do these policies in reality useful for them? Recently came across some info that for getting into some higher studies you need to have some cut off percentages in the subjects. Already we will be writing an entrance test for that higher studies, why do they need the previous record? What if a person realizes his mistakes in life made earlier and trying to become someone great in future? Increasing the number of IITs ridiculously, what good did it bring to people? Diluting the quality in each and everything....

People discussed on military power. Ok, i understand our country is making progress. But are they able to take in the intellectual minds of the country in research and development? We do have reservation categories there also. Govt jobs, as i came across people's opinion, i understood most of the people want to live leisurely. It is assured in most of the areas. I feel pain in my heart when even for a small thing getting done, there will be a huge paperwork, permissions etc are needed. Finally it destroys, kills the spirit of working. Sometimes people say, the paperworks weigh more than the actual work. Laziness is getting deep rooted because of these infinite rules and regulations. Everything keep stopping and starting and causing fatigue to the implementation.

Now is our country capable of providing the resources to work? Oh sorry the resources are lost because of infinite scams and holdings. Why these people can't understand that they can't take the money when they die. That money, which they feel they have but they cannot say to somebody that he truly earned it and feel proud, won't bring them peace. That money, which brings them hatred and fights in families, relations, when used for something good like providing education to poor, health facilities, homes, etc.. brings them happiness and makes their names to last long forever. Why can't they understand... i keep thinking.

And there's the issue of separating states. In the midst of so many crisis like prices hike of daily necessities, land, unemployment etc they want separate states. Bringing news will be profitable to News channels. Companies are having too much trouble because of this issue and losses occur. Someone said, companies try to offer to stop the movement and news channels offer to keep the movement on. I don't know how much of this true but sincerely i regret being a normal person and couldn't make people understand the situation. If some problem, such as govt jobs, being given to coastal andhra people, is the issue, why can't they think about the things that are responsible for such happening? Like most of the people who pass intermediate, engg, medical science with high percentages are from coastal andhra. Also they are a little more considerate about studies than Telangana people. Please try to think. If they don't have good percentages which is negative of what i had said, and still getting jobs, who is responsible? The people who recruit, ministers etc etc. If we just put pressure on them it will be enough isn't it? Why go for separation of states? It hurts being people of same language, same mother tongue, fighting like those of a same family for property. If it gets divided then what? then people of upper districts fighting with lower districts over water, food, employment, then what will they do?

In some movie it is said that "Education is gain wisdom, not for earning money etc". Ok i agree may be part of it is true. But these people representatives who studied to a very decent level, if still don't have any wisdom, what we should do?

A lot of things can be written but i think the reader would get the picture of what i want to share. I hope people change for making India a better country.

I wrote this post that I had been feeling this pain, that these evil things are so deep rooted and holding our country back from becoming an Ideal, Super power. If i have hurt your feelings, please forgive me.

Struggle

Well i had been thinking a lot.... literally. It is very hard to digest when we compare ourselves with a person of greater caliber. From my childhood i had been the topper in my class. Never felt such thing. I used to think why these people won't study or won't excel in some things like me. In fact, i used to exaggerate my level in my mind that i am the ultimate and can do whatever i want to be. Of course its good to be that way that we should be confident that we can do anything. But being overconfident has its disadvantages. I was almost alone in my school as i kept myself with studying because my family is almost less than middle class i can say. To be with friends it needs somethings to be done as it is childhood, i guess playing could help. But family, the way they create our environment, i guess it will be hard to change. They keep saying you should become a great person like IAS officer, job holder in a big company, so that all would have a bright future. I am not saying they are bad. Its just that there are a lot of things we miss in life. I rarely played in my life. As i was more leaned towards study, my friends weren't much interested i guess, to give me a good role in playing. I also think i looked down on them. See, we were kids. What do we know about life..?

For a person, whatever kind he/she is, is being moulded by the environment they grew in. When we compare, we don't think about that. I felt very very bad when my relatives compared me with my cousins saying that i am a great person, studying in city, got job etc. I wanted to ask these questions to them on their face itself. Why do you think they turned like that? Did they wanted this kind of life?

I agree that i was stupid earlier because of the pride that filled in the mind. Kept under-estimating people and their character. I guess, life is a good but harsh teacher making us learn things after putting us in that position like "giving knowledge/wisdom after putting us exam". And i also want to say, as somebody said, that "You learn more from Failure than Success".

People never want to turn their lives to bad shape. Its habits, difficulties they can't come over (sometimes). All they need is others would understand the problems he might be facing. Only the person who is facing the problem, knows how bad it is effecting him. Others might think that is a joke.

One Piece

Its been a long time. I wanted to write about a lot of things but i felt they might be not much relevant and people may not like reading stuff which is too much arbitrary. Anyhow, in this post i want to tell few things i like about ONE PIECE ( a japanese anime).

Believe me, these anime (Naruto & One Piece), are best. You see, i often wondered what does it feels like being ambitious of attaining some goal... People keep saying you should be very hard working and strong...facing failures would make you learn and realize what you want and how you want to get it. Picturing all these might be possible to some people but the romance in aiming for a goal, facing the consequences and novelty in such a life can be shown only by cinema/series writers/directors etc. I want to sincerely thank all those people who directly or indirectly influenced my life in a good way. Someone said "Wherever you look, you can see something". I didn't care about it much. Friends kept saying, "why are you watching anime? you are not a kid anymore...".

The big thoughts and feelings, friendship, ambitious about your goal,.... these all are very touchingly created in these anime particularly Naruto and One-Piece. I want to describe many lines from them, which inspired me but i feel sad for remembering them as there are too many episodes :(

Recently, in the episode of One-Piece, came across a wonderful, amazing line which i often kept thinking...it is..

Gol D.Ace(grandson): Do u think that i deserved to be born?
Marine Vice-Admiral (grandpa): That's something...you'll see as you live.

It was the most touching line i ever heard. There are so many quotes in these anime regarding friendship, comrade, which i like most... mostly the lines about how you want to live is the most inspiring ones which you rarely come across in tv-series. I wish i would be a part of these anime in future even if it is a little part.

Amazing usage of words

This is English version of Striker (Hindi film) Cham Cham lyrics...

The doors to heaven opened
Some devotees were chosen
They carried a little angel
The message from god
Since then you have been shining in this world

The greatest happiness that's beyond all expectations
These hands glittering like stars
Your sweet voice is like a gentle fragrance
The fair body like a fragrant sandal wood
I wish to spend my entire life in your arms
There's innocence in your manner
Charm in your grace
I want to fill your life with stars
Your face is endearing than god

You smiled like a flower in full bloom
Our eyes met like seeing the moon
Your smile is radiant like the rays of dawn
Your eyes are filled with radiance
You are my life
The eyes yearn for a glimpse of you
This passion is your effect

Gradually, you cast a spell on me, and i was enchanted
Just like you graced this moment
Graced this moment

FRINGE

One the TV series i like very much. Its amazing, it creates a a great curiosity in you if you are a science enthusiast. Parallel universes, Pyrokinesis, time-space discontinuum, high level bio-technology, psychology etc., will become common to you.

One famous quote from that Tv series which i appreciate " When you open your mind to impossible, you will come to learn" said by Dr. Walter Bishop, lead character in that series.

Jon Noble - Joshua Jackson - Anna Torv

Funny thing, his son will write 2 journals and runs away by the time the college (MIT) came to know that his admission is not legitimate.

Interaction between the people of parallel universes is the amazing concept you will like in this.

Inheritance

While i was having a talk with my friends, i was stunned by the insight of
my friend on inheritance. he spoke words wich we cannot say he is wrong.
whats the cause of many household fights ?
jealous/hate between family members?
under achievement of a lot of students...?
INHERITANCE...... sobering their sons/daughters with the assets their parents have...not leaving the kids to live / fight for what they believe/want... making them lazy
It is a real bitter experience of his friend.... once he was very intelligent, ambitious, hard working,friendly.... but after his brother got job and family prospered they bought him everything like ipod,mobile,bike,computer....so what they indirectly did is encouraged the feeling to enjoy rather than developing what he needs to do in future. during this time we tend to work less and have a feeling that our family has prospered. so there is no need to worry which is
the main seed to get lazy,sober....out of track kind of thing.... now he is doing his medicine with paying a huge amount where a merit guy need to pay less....i feel very sorry for a guy like that becoming like someone whom others dont acknowledge

I donno whether he has realised what he lost and why he lost...
my friend said,to make things understandable to them they should be allowed to stand on their feet rather than supporting and making them go lazy. people should be given the value for what they are.... Govt. shouldnt give admission to rich/politician people(the guys without merit)....

Finally i feel inheritance should be like a safety net for good.
